Ready your napkin and loosen your belt: Nantucket Wine and Food Festival 2019 is almost upon us: May 15th through the 19th, 2019. This popular annual event sees some of the world’s best chefs and vintners coming together for a 5-day epicurean extravaganza of food and drink.
Nantucket Wine and Food Festival has been bringing distinguished winemakers, chefs, and lovers of all they produce together for over 20 years. The festival includes more than 60 different events to attend, with something for everyone. Attend wine tastings, galas, lunches, dinners, seminars, and so many other fun, food and drink related events!
Topics for this year’s festival include Knights of the Wine Table, Bordeaux’s Magical Médoc, Passport to Napa, Oregon Wines, and Discover Rioja.
The beloved festival also brings stars from the world of food and wine to the island. Famous vintners, chefs, sommeliers, and presenters come and help to make the festival the truly special event it is.

2019 Nantucket Wine and Food Festival Highlights
Harbor Gala – May 16, 5pm to 8:30pm
The Harbor Gala opens the festival each year with a prestigious evening of a pure gastronomic indulgence. The event sees famous, international vintners and award-winning chefs pairing their creations with stunning harbor views. General admission has sold out but VIP tickets remain.
Gala After Party: Southern Style – May 16, 9pm to 12am
Keep the party going with Kentucky’s own Woodford Reserve and live music Texas-style! This fun evening includes a host of favorite, Texan celebrity chefs. Don’t miss it!
Provençal Rosé Brunch – May 17, 10am to 12pm
Enjoy a delicious and educational wine-paired brunch featuring wines, vintners, and experts from the Provence region of France. Learn what’s behind the current Rosé trend as you enjoy simple yet delectable paired dishes.
The Grand Tastings: Session 1 – May 18, 12pm to 2pm
Come and sample over 600 different wines from more than 150 international wineries, plus some wonderful food from the region. The Grand Tastings are the heart of the festival, and presented in three sessions. While the second session has already sold out, a third is scheduled for the 19th, 12 to 2:30pm.
Junior Top Chef – May 19, 10am to 12pm
Watch as four student teams compete for the title of “Junior Top Chef Champion” and a $10,000 Culinary Scholarship. Each team receives a mystery basket of ingredients with one hour to prep, plate, and present their dishes to the celebrity chefs for judging. Always fun and exciting!
